BOEM and ComAV
2023 was already halfway through and there was still no venue for BOEM. When we visited the Tinnenpot theatre in Ghent with ComAV to celebrate the 20th anniversary of this composers' association there in September, this location also seemed very attractive for a next edition of BOEM.
The ComAV event would take place on Sunday and I wanted to provide a decent sound system that would allow electroacoustic music to be integrated into the anniversary concert in an appealing way. The ComAV colleagues thought it would be a good idea to set up the whole installation there at once, so that BOEM could also take place the day before. After some hesitation, not Antwerp this time, but Ghent!
This 4th edition demanded the utmost of me in terms of organisation, but it turned out to be a success.
